griots garage polisher review: What Does The Griot’s Garage 10813STDCRD Do?
The Griots Garage Random orbital polisher removes heavy elements such as oxidation, water spots, light scratches, and swirls pretty easily. In my shop our main goal is production, we generally do not preform full details on vehicles. This is one of our inexpensive go-to buffers and it works very well, especially when used properly!

griots garage polisher review: Really Easy To Use
Before introducing Griot’s Garage 6” Random Orbital Polisher, Griot’s Garage considered it’s customer base remarks and requests and settled on coming up with a polishing tool that was less intimidating, one with a price that we could more easily afford. Here it is, in all of its legit glory! This polisher is pretty easy to handle whether you’re a professional or amateur detailer by the way.
The Good people over at Griot’s Garage redesigned the Griot’s Garage 10813STDCRD to address the 2nd generation polisher’s power trouble and make it much more comfortable on the hands during extended polishing sessions. If you have ever polished out deep sand scratches or if you have polished full vehicles before you know why this is important. Honestly, besides the longevity of a buffer the comfort is the most important thing.
They threw in an adjustable handle with a grip that is rubberized making it easier and comfortable to the hand. The Griot’s Garage 6” housing handle was designed with molded hand and finger grips grooves for better handling.
The power switch and speed control switch have been relocated to more easily accessible locations and users don’t have to struggle to reach the switches. The features named above make Griot’s Garage 6” 3rd generation Polisher better than the previous models.

A 6” hook and loop backing section is included in the Griot’s Garage 10813STDCRD polisher. The support plate has been designed to hold 6.5” pads developed by Griot’s Garage.
The polisher removes tough stains but is still friendly to car paint. The random orbit motion in the pad ensures that heat doesn’t build up in a single spot, which helps to lessen the chance of burning through the clear coat. Less heat production means that your paint doesn’t get affected!
The vibration during buffing is manageable, and while using the polisher, you move from point A to B within a short time without having to do a re-do of the previously polished area.
The price is suitable given the benefits and advantages of using this polisher over the competing polishers in the market currently.
