This ported enclosure is loaded with a 4ohm 8W3V3 woofer. Its enclosure also features top-quality medium-density fiberboard (MDF), it was built using state of the art CNC woodworking equipment, covered with high quality automotive carpeting.
Its driver is completely protected with black steel-mesh grille and internally that looks really good and protects the top of the subwoofer from damage, the enclosure is built with the ECL of JL Audio from the woofer to 5 way binding post connectors.
One of my favorite things about this loaded subwoofer enclosure besides the fact that it looks really good is the quality of work JL Audio put into it.
JL hosts a series of training’s every year for my installers and salesmen where they show us the newest products as well as the most sold, this guy has been a favorite among JL Audio heads all over the U.S for some time.
This subwoofer is arguably one of the loudest subs in the popular “powered enclosure” class!

This subwoofer system is inspected and finished by hand at the JL audio facility in Florida, so everything is assured before JL Audio CP108LG-W3V3 places inside of the box. Installers love this by the way.
The exterior of this subwoofer enclosure is nicely covered in black automotive carpet, and a lot of really cool looking touches are added like the heavy duty terminals with 5-way binding posts for an improved sense of quality.
This is also securely mounted on front panel with 8 screws, and comes complete with removable steel mesh grille.
The system’s lot-vent is located on the upper ends of end panel of enclosure which features a flared end at output in order to reduce the port noise and air turbulence and clean up the bass response.
By utilizing the high performance JL Audio CP108LG-W3V3 woofer, the power handling of the system is rated at a clean 250W.
In order to check out the system’s construction or tweak the wiring all you have to do is remove the woofer from its enclosure and everything is right there, its that easy.
JL AUDIO MAKES AN AMPLIFIER FOR THIS SUBWOOFER HERE!
JL Audio has taken great care in order to build and design the enclosure with very special braces inside of it that harden and add tremendous strength to its design.
The interior of JL Audio CP108LG-W3V3 enclosure is lined with the polyfill in order to improve its performance and trick the woofer to thinking that the enclosure has a larger volume of air than it actually has.
The polyfill stuffing helps in reducing the sonic coloration’s and in some cases slightly improves the efficiency.
The W3V3 MicroSub uses polypropylene special mineral filled cone with a complete distinctive medallion of JL Audio.
Its patented design improves the surrounding sound to the basket junction, and reduces stress loading of rubber that surrounds during the movement of cone for more consistent output and increased reliability.
This also has exclusive voice cooling coil feature that dissipates the heat away from its internal motor structure to improve long-term durability.
We can mention features all day, but whats important is the performance of this subwoofer. The problem with loaded woofer enclosures is the lack of quality bass output.
Our customers fear that they have to sacrifice bass output when they have a vehicle that has space limitations. I can say without a doubt this is the loudest loaded enclosure of its size on the market today.
