A wide variety of different double dins car stereo’s will fit in this vehicle with a bit of modification behind the dash.
After purchasing the correct dash kit, follow the instructions that come with it for removal of the factory radio.
Behind the dash where the factory radio would sit there is a ABS plastic divider with a bolt ran through it in the very middle.
Remove that bolt and cut the plastic sheet that divides the front of the open area from the rear of the dash.
After you’ve cut that divider, slide your new double din into the cavity in order to see if your radio will fit, if it does not then trim the dash where it is needed.
If the radio fits properly then continue on with the installation instructions.
This double din kitfor your 1995-2002 Chevy Tahoe and Silverado is a secret among car audio installers.
This isn’t just a dash kit, it is an entire dash replacement that allows you to install a double din car stereo without having to do any cutting, shaving or modification to your factory dash board.
It comes with two small fitting pieces that you screw onto the sides of your new radio and it fits right in. The easiest install you’ll ever do!

Single Din Car Stereo’s Fit perfectly into the dash of the Chevrolet Tahoe without any modification.
Use the instructions that come with this dash kitin order to remove the factory radio and assembly the aftermarket kit for installation of your new radio.
This single din kit is probably my favorite single din kit on the market.
In a “Nut Shell” all you need to do after you’ve removed your factory radio is mount your radio into this dash kit with the cage that comes with your new radio.
After your radio is mounted in this dash kit make sure your new wire harness and antenna are connected in the dash properly, connect them to your new radio and slide your radio into the dash allowing the levers on the sides of the dash kit to click into place.
That’s it, your all done! Now, before you put the dash together don’t forget to test your radio and make sure everything is functioning properly.
